This college level course introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Students are exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology. AP Psychology requires an in-depth knowledge of research methodology, psychology, and an ability to apply psychological knowledge to specific situations. Students are required to take the AP exam in Psychology in the spring with the possibility of earning three hours of college credit.
